About Salem, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Salem, Indiana is a community-centered, family-friendly, historic town that is fun, safe and full of life. The vibrant and fascinating history of the town paired with the lovely residents, makes it a great place to live or visit.  The seasonal weather only adds to the Midwestern charm.  Beautiful flowers and baby animals are all around in the spring and the winters bring icicles and snow.  Kids can run in the sprinkler in the balmy summer months and sled in the chill of the winter.

Looking to understand local history?  The Stevens Memorial Museum is a beautiful, brick structure built using native brick from historic buildings in the area. The museum has so many artifacts, and they are so varied, that you could easily pass an entire cold, winter’s day just strolling through and checking out all of the exhibits (as well as the adjacent Pioneer Village).  The village is a living exhibit of 1840s era Indiana.  Do keep in mind that the village is outdoors and dress appropriately for the weather.  It is only open June – September when the weather is warm enough.

Looking for some more outdoorsy fun?  Want to become “one with nature”?  Well, this part of Indiana is definitely the place to do it.  The area surrounding Salem has so many opportunities to get outside and enjoy nature.  Indiana’s longest footpath, The Knobstone Trail, a 58 mile stretch of hiking trail, takes you through the backcountry of Indiana. Clifty Falls State Park features trails, waterfalls, campsites and more.  Also, be sure to check out the Clifty Inn, which overlooks the Ohio River, and has a huge pool.  The inn serves delicious down home food, maintains lovely rooms, and is not likely to disappoint.  Warm up and drink some hot coffee in the winter or cool down and enjoy some iced tea – whatever you do, don’t miss the view!
